Rebekah & Ryan’s Colorado Mountain Elopement at Julia’s Deck

In late July, Rebekah & Ryan eloped to the mountains of Colorado with just their closest family and friends. They held their sweet ceremony at Julia’s Deck, located at the Mount of the Holy Cross observation site near Red Cliff, Colorado.

Julia’s Deck is a simple elevated platform nestled in the mountains – you have to take a quick, easy, yet absolutely beautiful hike through the tall pine trees to reach the deck. When you arrive, the views are just incredible – pine trees as far as the eye can see, dark blue mountains in the distance, and dramatic clouds overhead. Before we hiked back to the overlook for their ceremony, Rebekah and Ryan shared a sweet first look out in a wide open mountain meadow and then explored some more dramatic nearby scenery for couples photos in front of the gorgeous mountain views.

Rebekah wore a strapless lacy gown with a sweetheart neckline, and her hair was styled in a curly low bun with a full length veil. She met her dad in the woods on the trail to Julia’s Deck, and he walked her the rest of the way to the ceremony, laughing and dancing the whole way. Ryan waited on the observation deck with their officiant and their loved ones. They exchanged vows, shed a few sweet tears, and passed around an anniversary box for guests to add letters to be read in a year.

After their ceremony, everyone snacked on the most delicious charcuterie board spread and sipped red wine while taking in the views. Right at the very end of our time on the overlook it started to rain, but Rebekah had the cutest parasol ready to go!

I just love these sweet little intimate elopements in the mountains!
