Emily & Dillon’s Sentimental Lake Tahoe Engagement Session in the Mountains
Emily & Dillon spent a lot of time together in this secret place in the mountains at Lake Tahoe when they were just dating, and wanted to go back for their engagement session to have some professional photos taken in their home away from home.
We spent their session wandering around the rocky terrain of Lake Tahoe. The backdrop was amazing – rocky mountains set against a bright blue sky, and the lake was the clearest blue you could imagine. They both wore classic cool and comfy light blue jeans and white cotton tops, and Emily wore a tan Gigi Pip hat and had a beautiful dried flower bouquet from Helianthus Floral. They switched outfits for a more romantic look and hopped on a rented boat for a bit of fun on the lake. At the end of the session, they popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate their engagement.
Going back to Lake Tahoe for their photos was a cool nod to their past. It’s like they brought a piece of their history into this big step forward. If you could take your engagement session anywhere, where would you go?! I’d go to Iceland!! ✈️
