Emily & Dan’s Sunrise Mountain Elopement in Colorado at Garden of the Gods
Emily and Dan's love story started in 8th grade, when Emily got Dan’s number and texted him without revealing who she was for a full 2 weeks. One day at school, Dan joined Emily at the back of the lunch line – she thought he was late for lunch too, but it turned out he just wanted to stand by her. Fun fact, I actually shot Emily’s senior photos years ago!
Their playful relationship eventually led to a serious love, and after she saw me post some epic mountain elopements with stunning views, she reached out to me to let me know that an intimate and relaxed elopement was the perfect way to celebrate their love too. They wanted those same epic sweeping mountain views for their own special day.
The morning of the wedding, Emily and Dan had a first look overlooking Colorado Springs at sunrise, with the pink and purple light casting a soft glow over the emotional moment. Their morning ceremony was held with immediate family gathered in the stunning rock formations of Garden of the Gods.
After the ceremony, we ventured out for some epic newlyweds portraits with all of those dramatic landscapes Emily and Dan dreamed of. The natural beauty of Garden of the Gods made for a perfect setting for the couple's adventurous spirit. Their elopement ended when the day was just beginning, with a post-ceremony brunch with immediate family, filled with laughter and love. Emily and Dan even sliced into a warm gooey wedding cinnamon roll to celebrate!
