Ali & Dylan’s Laguna Beach Engagement Session

Ali and Dylan live in Arizona, but they wanted dreamy beach vibes for their engagement photos. They come to the west coast on vacation regularly, so we decided to do Laguna Beach for their session. I shot some film during this session to add those nostalgic filmy vibes, and I’ll be shooting film and using flash on the beach until further notice. 🥵

Their first outfit was classic chic, with Ali wearing a black off-the-shoulder tea length dress and Dylan in a relaxed tan button-down and slacks. They explored the beach’s rocky landscape and cliffs and walked along the edge of the ocean barefoot and holding hands, enjoying the salty California air and the soft sand under their feet.

When the sun started to set, they changed into an all-white second look. Ali wore a gorgeous flowing silk gown with long sleeves and a high collar, and Dylan wore a perfectly beachy white button down shirt and pants, both looked stunning against the golden glowing sunset turning the sky pink over the ocean.

This Laguna Beach session made me feel like these two belong in California, don’t you agree? I can’t wait to be in Arizona next year for their desert wedding.
