Rebekah and Ryan's story is one of perseverance and love. They met in college, but their careers took them to different cities. Despite the distance, they stayed committed to each other and Ryan asked Rebekah to marry him after 3 months together. The couple eventually moved to Colorado and brought a puppy into the world, and we took their gorgeous engagement photos at sunrise in the mountains in Maroon Bells.

For the wedding, these sweethearts originally planned to exchange vows in Italy, but the pandemic forced them to change their plans. Instead, they eloped in the mountains of Colorado and waited for the pandemic to subside before celebrating with family and friends at their intimate countryside wedding on family land in Menlo, Iowa.

The scenery was breathtaking, with a beautiful rolling green landscapes as far as the eye could see in any direction. The decorations were simple yet elegant, with rustic wooden accents and a minimalist wrought iron floral arch that perfectly complemented the surroundings. The flowers from Lavender Blue Floral added a touch of romance to the outdoor venue. Rebekah wore a stunning Hayley Paige dress, while her bridesmaids wore gorgeous mix and match dresses from Lulu’s. Ryan and his groomsmen looked dashing in their suits from Mr. B.

Guests gathered around for the simple backyard ceremony and took their seats on blankets and lawn chairs, decorated with little picnic baskets containing sweet floral arrangements of baby’s breath and peonies and bottles of wine and sparking drinks. After Ryan and Rebekah exchanged loving vows and a few laughs, guests enjoyed delicious food and drinks throughout the evening, and celebrated the couple's love by mingling and playing fun yard games and lounging around the pond after dinner. It was a beautiful and joyous occasion that they will always remember.
