Kaley & Sam - Lush Summer Wedding at the Embassy Club in West Des Moines

Sam and Kaley's love story reminds us that sometimes, it's worth waiting for the right moment. These sweethearts met back in 2014 at Luther College during a room draw event, and it was love at first sight for Kaley, who asked her bestie Anna to put in a good word with Sam, because he was cute and Anna happened to be dating Sam’s good friend, Nick.

Although they hung out a few times before summer break, they both moved back home, and the timing wasn't right for them to start dating. Fast forward to 2017, and Sam and Kaley reconnected while living in Des Moines, and their friendship took a romantic turn. Two and a half years later, Sam proposed to Kaley with the help of their Anna & Nick (also now married!) while they were vacationing in Florida.

Their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of their love and was nothing short of magical. The couple said their vows in front of family and friends at a beautiful ceremony at West Des Moines Christian Church. Afterwards, they had their reception at Embassy Club West. Kaley looked stunning in her Mori Lee gown from An Elegant Affair Bridal, and her hair and makeup, done by Allyson Senter of I Do Pretty, completed her picture-perfect, classic look. The bridesmaids' dresses were also from An Elegant Affair, and Sam and his groomsmen were dressed to impress by Skeffington's Formal Wear. The stunning floral arrangements by Something Chic Floral added a touch of lush summer color to the day. Molly's Cupcakes provided sweet treats for the guests, and DJ Nic Sandstrom of BCP Weddings brought the party to life on the dance floor.

All in all, Kaley & Sam’s special day was a dream summer wedding day and we’re still swooning over them and their love!
