Top 3 Wedding Venues in Hawaii
Are you looking for a gorgeous and intimate wedding venue in Hawaii, but don’t know where to start? Here are my top 3 wedding venue location ideas for your intimate wedding or elopement on the Hawaiian islands.
Each island offers a diverse landscape and the scenery is unique in its own way from island to island. My personal favorite island for a Hawaiian wedding is Oahu, followed by Maui as a close second. If you’re craving an elevated and tropical feel with your closest family and friends, these stunning Hawaiian venues are the perfect places to plan your wedding day.
The galleries below feature some of my very favorite photos from past weddings in these locations, so take a look below and see if one of these places is the right venue for you!

Sitting directly on one of the most beautiful beaches on the west side of Maui, The Royal Lahaina is an ideal resort venue. With its prime location, the venue features breathtaking Hawaiian landscapes and numerous picturesque backdrops for different portions of your day.
Wendi & Todd, featured above, chose to get married in a church in Lahaina and hold their reception at the resort, but you can also have your entire day there as well. One of my favorite ceremony locations is right on the lawn with the ocean view in the background. I’ve also never seen a more gorgeous sunset while shooting a wedding, and you’ll get a glowing pink and golden sky almost each and every night here!

On the East side of Oahu near Lei, the Hale Koa Estate is a gorgeous mansion located right on the beach, but it’s tucked away in dense tropical foliage, and offers both intimacy and privacy. It’s the perfect secluded setting for an intimate wedding day.
This is one of my favorite wedding venues in Hawaii because there’s no need to leave the grounds at all if you don’t want to! Since it’s a mansion with several bedrooms available, the venue doubles as overnight accommodations and you can host your entire wedding party at the estate itself. It also has a great pool, so you can stay a couple of nights before or after your wedding and really soak up the tropical estate experience.
There is a beach nearby if you’d like to explore Hawaii a bit more and get in the ocean, but this venue has many different spaces to choose from for ceremonies and receptions, and you can even use the lawn with the glowing twinkle lights as your dance floor. Brittany & Harry, featured above, held their entire wedding from start to finish on the Hale Koa grounds and they even had a cute photo bus come and take candid photos of their guests during the reception. Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch is an iconic Hawaii wedding venue located on the East side of Oahu, on a 4,000 acre nature reserve at the foot of Kanehoalani mountain. This venue is the perfect combination of lush greenery and stunning tropical views, including picturesque scenery like Kane’ohe Bay, the Koʻolau mountains, Mokoli’i Island, and more. There are countless places around the venue for breathtaking photos on your wedding day, including a large lawn, an open air pavilion, and gorgeous tropical gardens.
Paliku Gardens is a really versatile wedding venue that can accommodate up to 120 guests if you’re having a big party, or you can keep it small and intimate and only your closest family and friends. One of my favorite things about this amazing venue is that you can have a truly immersive Hawaiian experience, complete with a unique farm-to-table catering experience that supports local Hawaiian vendors. Kualoa Ranch is a working ranch and farming operation, producing crops ranging from tropical flowers to cattle. Take a peek for yourself HERE!

If you’re looking to elope without a formal venue, or simply want a couples or engagement session, I know plenty of stunning locations that feature many iconic Hawaiian landscapes and sights. If you’re looking to climb a mountain, hike a canyon, or roll around in the sand on a secluded beach, I can help you find the perfect place for your session.
It’s important to book your session or elopement with me as early as possible, so I have plenty of time to help you with the process of securing your location – many of the best and most scenic Hawaiian locations are sacred, and availability is limited and many require permits.
Can’t wait to chat!
