Lynn & Jeremy’s Sunny Courthouse Elopement in Seattle
I met Lynn & Jeremy over in West Seattle, which happens to be where they had their first date. They chose to elope on August 15th, which is both their dating anniversary and when they decided to commit to each other, and I thought it was so sweet that they wanted to say “I do” on this date as well and further honor that personal tradition.
We rode the water taxi over to downtown Seattle (it was my first water taxi ride, and it was so fun!) and hopped off and headed to the courthouse where their family members were waiting. Jeremy’s parents had originally lived in Hawaii and are moving back soon, and their judge was also originally from Hawaii. I loved all the links to the islands I love so much and currently call home, and thought it was so fun that they flew me from Oahu to document their day because everyone was so connected to Hawaii!
At the courthouse, Jeremy and Lynn exchanged the sweetest vows and afterwards, we took some portraits outside to commemorate this special moment. It was a sweet and simple and such meaningful day. What truly got me was their family who was there to support them and feeling all the emotions with them as they said I do (and the fact that I told Lynn I missed Trader Joe’s because there isn’t one in Hawaii and she sent me on the plane with snacks from TJs, I truly have the most thoughtful couples).
Thank you, L&J for inviting me to document this day for you. It was so special to be a part of.
