Rylie & Eric’s Sunrise Maternity Session on the Beach on Oahu
If you’ve ever been to Hawaii, you know how quickly the weather can change. One minute, it’s clear skies, and the next, a passing rain shower rolls through. That’s just part of island life. These quick bursts of rain are what make everything so lush and green—and they also bring rainbows! It’s one of the things I love most about photographing here.
Rylie & Eric came to Hawaii on their babymoon with their rainbow baby, and we were lucky enough to see one of the most vivid rainbows I’ve ever seen during our session. After having a rainbow baby of my own, I know that some things just aren’t coincidences—they’re signs. This definitely was one of them. 🌈 🤍
Some sessions just feel extra special. Rylie & Eric’s session had the perfect mix of elements—soft light, ocean breeze, and of course, that unreal rainbow. Kualoa Regional Park is one of the most scenic places on Oahu, with wide beaches, mountain views, and views of Chinaman’s Hat in the distance offshore. The mix of ocean and rugged landscape makes it such a stunning backdrop, no matter the weather.
